A gruesome murder has occurred in Bayelsa State, where a 30-year-old man, identified as Ebi, popularly known as Npotor (Noise), was allegedly beheaded by suspected cultists.
According to community sources, the deceased, an indigene of Amassoma community in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area, was a member of the Greenlanders cult group.
He was reportedly killed by rival cult members, believed to be members of the Bobos group, in Yenegue, an area under the control of the Bobos.
The sources revealed that the victim was taken, tied, and abandoned on a road, where his body was later found naked with his hands tied and his head missing.
The police confirmed the incident, with the Igbogene Divisional Police Officer deployed to the area to evacuate the corpse.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Musa Mohammed, said he was yet to get the details of the incident.
